First off let’s start with the specific brand that we are going to discuss. The C660 is a broader category that gets split up into smaller categories but they are all relatively similar. The C660 is part of the Satellite brand of Toshiba laptops.
All Satellite laptops feature the following: Blu-Ray Disc Player for playing Blu Ray movies, USB 3.0 for even faster information transfer from and to the computer, an HDMI port to allow output to an HD screen, and Resolution+ which can upconverts standard definition movies improving color and sharpness in real time. Since the C660 is a Satellite product, it will have all these features standard.
So what’s unique in the C660? The C660 has a 15.6″ widescreen HD backlit display. This is considered the “standard” size in laptops, anything under is “small” and anything over is “large” and we believe this is a good way to organize the sizes, the 15.6″ is a good standard.
Let’s list off some of the standard features that one normally looks at when considering purchasing a laptop:
These are the features you’ll get with this laptop. This is a respectable laptop for people with a budget that don’t need anything powerful. If you have multiple programs running constantly you may want more than 2 GB’s of Ram and another Toshiba product would definitely accommodate this.
Toshiba’s overall are very solid products. The styling is very nice and the keyboard feels high quality. Many laptops out there look snazzy but when you feel the keyboard it just feels low quality and unresponsive. We found this keyboard to be setup very nicely and it takes just the right amount of length and pressure to press the keys. Another great feature of the keyboard is that it has a backlight, meaning when you push a button, underneath the keyboard lights up for about 10 seconds and then will automatically turn off if another button is not hit. We really loved to have this feature on our laptops. If it’s night time and you can’t quite find the button you want you simply hit 1 button and the entire thing lights up and you can very easily and quickly find what you needed to press.
Another thing we’d like to mention is the speaker quality. When I first heard this thing I was amazed that this sound could be coming out of something so small, it struck me as odd how great it sounded. It has real depth and real body to it, I’m not joking in the slightest these things are insanely good sounding and they get incredibly loud for a laptop as well. Just after getting mine my friend decided to pick up and Asus and I’ve had great dealings with Acer/Asus in the past but his speakers sounding like they were from a tin can and his computer was more expensive than mine with almost the same features. Toshiba products really blew me away when I randomly decided to get one based off of Amazon.com ratings, I’d never even considered the brand before but am incredibly satisfied with it. Highly recommended products.
There you have it, anything you’d want to know about this laptop is pretty much mentioned here. You can get super detailed specifications off of the Toshiba.com website if you are looking for that sort of thing. Thank you friends and if you have any additional questions or want to know anything that I didn’t mention here about the Toshiba products just place a comment below and I’ll try to answer all questions.
